Just how busy is United States Class B airspace? Here is a look at real-time inbound arrivals at 14 of our most active airports. This is just a quick and dirty bit of html coding I threw together as an experiment. It shows the actual number of aircraft on filed IFR flight plans, taken (with permission) from data provided by FBOweb.

Recently added Memphis (FedEx) and Louisville (UPS) so we can see how these two overnight carrier hubs explode with IFR traffic every night as their aircraft come from all over the WORLD to these two distribution centers. While the other airports go into sleep mode overnight, MEM and SDF rock and roll all night...because when your express package absolutely, positively has to be there tomorrow, it HAS to go through one of these two hubs - Dan Pimentel.
